Caring for the mind and its health is of utmost importance especially during the years of growing up. As per WHO currently estimates, 50% of all mental illnesses begin to show up before the age of 15 years and 75% before the age of 24 years.
Just as children and adolescents need to learn about how to take care of their health and avoid health hazards, they also need to learn how to foster their own emotional health and mental strength. Parents, teachers and health professionals need the right information to facilitate this. Besides, since mental health problems are common especially in growing years, the stakeholders need to know how to respond to the problems appropriately at the right time.
This page aims to build right knowledge as well as help fight stigma especially with regards to those involved in promoting emotional and psychological well-being of children and adolescents.
